Rick Oshinski
Richard A. Oshinski received his Bachelor of Arts degree with distinction from the University of Nevada, Las Vegas, in 1984. While attending law school at the University of Akron, he served as the captain of the National Mock Trial Team, was a member of the University of Akron Law Review and was the recipient of the American Jurisprudence Award for civil procedure, as well as the Louis F. Powell, Jr. Award for moot court. In 1990, Mr. Oshinski graduated magna cum laude with a Juris Doctor degree.
Mr. Oshinski is a former partner in the Carson City law firm of Scarpello, Huss and Oshinski with over 25 years tenure, and was a former law clerk to the Honorable Carl Christensen of the Eighth Judicial District Court in Las Vegas, Nevada.
Prior to co-founding Oshinski & Forsberg, Ltd. with Mark Forsberg in 2014, he spent six years as a general counsel to a real estate development firm specializing in public-private partnerships and commercial development. Mr. Oshinski has also lectured extensively on public-private partnerships and real estate development, and is a coauthor of Nevada Worker’s Compensation Practice (Professional Education Systems 1996).
As a member of the Nevada and California State Bars and American Corporate Counsel Association, Mr. Oshinski has practiced extensively in commercial litigation. He practices primarily in real estate development, commercial transactions, construction law, corporate law, business planning and commercial litigation. While he has litigated hundreds of cases and arbitrations throughout federal and state courts in Nevada and California, he is admitted to practice before the United States Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals, as well as the United States District Courts for the Districts of Nevada, Central District of California, Northern District of California and Eastern District of California.

Mark Forsberg
Mark Forsberg received his Bachelor of Science degree in journalism from the University of Colorado Boulder in 1976. While pursuing a 14-year career as a sports journalist at the Denver Post and Rocky Mountain News, he received his Juris Doctor degree in 1983 from the University of Denver, College of Law.
In the beginning of his law career, he was a clerk to the Honorable Brent Adams of the Second Judicial District Court of the state of Nevada in 1990, then he joined the Carson City District Attorney’s office. As the Chief Civil Deputy District Attorney of Carson City, Mr. Forsberg gained extensive state and federal civil rights litigation experience. In 2005, he entered private practice with the firm of Scarpello & Huss in Carson City. During his 13 years in the district attorney’s office and in private practice, he has argued numerous cases before the Nevada Supreme Court and the United States Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit. In 2014, he and Rick Oshinski joined together to found Oshinski & Forsberg, Ltd.
Presently, Mr. Forsberg is district counsel to the East Fork Fire Protection District, providing general counsel, negotiating collective bargaining agreements and litigating on behalf of the district. He also serves as general counsel to the East Fork Swimming Pool District. Mr. Forsberg practices primarily in the areas of general litigation, commercial, business and construction law, employment matters, land use and municipal law. He is licensed to practice law in Nevada and Oklahoma and is admitted to practice before all Nevada state courts, the United States District Court for the District of Nevada, the United States Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit and the United States Supreme Court. He also holds licenses to practice in Wyoming and Colorado, currently on inactive status.
